Permission Issues
Common permission issues and how to fix them.
Bot Permissions
Make sure Kyro has the required permissions for the commands you're trying to use:
- Moderation: Ban Members, Kick Members, Moderate Members, Manage Messages
- Roles: Manage Roles (and Kyro's role must be above the target role)
- Channels: Manage Channels, View Channel, Send Messages
- Voice: Connect, Speak, Move Members
Role Hierarchy
Kyro can only manage roles and members that are below its highest role in the role hierarchy.
To fix hierarchy issues:
- Go to Server Settings → Roles
- Drag the "Kyro" role above the roles you want to manage
Channel Permissions
If Kyro isn't responding in a specific channel, check:
- View Channel permission is enabled
- Send Messages permission is enabled
- Embed Links permission is enabled (for rich responses)
- Add Reactions permission is enabled (for reaction features)
